Parishioners of this ministry play a crucial role in the ongoing maintenance and care of  St. Thomas Aquinas' building, garden, and grounds. Their commitment and hard work ensure that these sacred spaces remain pristine and welcoming for all who visit and worship at this cherished place of spiritual reflection and community.

Liturgical Environment

This ministry provides an environment designed to enhance our worship space to reflect the beauty of the nature to enhance each liturgical season. Many opportunities are available in this ministry. Volunteers may help to plan, prepare as well as provide decorations on the altar as well as other areas of the chapel depending on each liturgical season, such as Advent, Christmas, Lent, Easter and other

Building Maintenance

Parishioners aid in the maintenance of St. Thomas’. buildings and grounds.  Committee members perform standard maintenance and/or make recommendations to the pastor regarding repairs to be made by outside contractors. Specialized skills include: carpentry, electrical, heating and air, plumbing, painting, and snow removal. Parishioners aid in removing snow at both St. Thomas Aquinas and St. Jerome as needed during the winter months. Shovels and de-icing material are provided. Members meet approximately four times a year to plan and schedule work.

Parish Gardens

Parishioners aid in the maintenance of the grounds through their dedicated efforts in tending to our gardens. Assigned specific areas to care for, they plant blooms, meticulously water and nourish the soil, weed, and ensure that the flower lots are upkept. Their ongoing commitment to the maintenance and beautification of our outdoor spaces is a testament to their deep-rooted care and reverence for the community and its surroundings.
