Diocese of Salt Lake City offers a guide for people with immigration needs
"Serving at the altar is an incredible opportunity to draw nearer to Jesus! It's a chance to open up to new experiences, embark on adventures together, set demanding goals, and discover the inner strength needed to achieve them. The more you immerse yourself in the altar's presence, the deeper your connection will be. "
"Don't forget to talk to Jesus through daily prayer – let his teachings and presence become the fuel for your journey. Embrace the nourishment from his word and body to empower you to spread sis message to others, sharing the joy and enthusiasm that fills your spirit!"
-Pope Francis, to all the young people of the Catholic Church
Altar Servers assist the priest and deacon during Mass and may also carry the cross, the candles, and other liturgical objects. Altar Servers may be male or female. They also help in the preparations before Mass. By its nature, this is a ministry that supports or assists in the Mass.
